Special Education
Data Validation Monitoring (DVM) is another component of the PBM system. The function of DVM is to monitor the accuracy of data submitted by school districts and used in the state's accountability rating and performance-based monitoring (PBM) systems, including:
Data Integrity Monitoring:
Leaver Data
Discipline Data
Student Assessment Data
The Texas Education Agency monitors programs using a variety of strategies, including district/charter self-evaluation, agency desk review, and on-site monitoring to identify areas in need of improvement or correction for a given program.
A TEASE account is required to access the district stage of intervention in PBMAS through the Intervention Staging Activity Manager (ISAM), and a separate TEASE account is required to access district unmasked data in Accountability.
