Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) |
Training in the Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) is a requirement for individual administrators and appraisers using the Commissioner's recommended appraisal system. Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) is a prerequisite for participation in PDAS training and is essential prior to PDAS appraiser certification. ILT no longer qualifies as a prerequisite. |

| PDAS Certificates 2009 and Beyond |
Only Region 13 issues PDAS and ILD certficates. After completing PDAS training participants can go to the link above and print out their certficate. Be sure to enter your name exactly the way it was on your registration form. From the drop down box select PDAS training. |

| PDAS Certificate 2008 |
Individuals who completed PDAS training in the summer of 2008 will be required to submit an online application for certification and a $75.00 certification fee to ESC XIII in order to be granted PDAS
certification. |

| PDAS Online Principals Refresher - Free for all Texas Principals |
This 60 minute online course is free to all Texas principals. It provides a reveiw of the PDAS process and timeline, teacher orientation requirements, Teacher Self Reports, Teachers in Need of Assistance, second appraisals, third party information documentation and appraiser qualifications. It will help principals to maximize their appraisal skills and avoid grievances. |

| New Teacher Orientation On-line at Responsive Learning |
Region 13, TEA and Responsive Learning have announced the creation of PDAS Teacher On-line for new teachers and teachers new to a district. A designated district administration can monitor teacher progress. The fee is $31 per participant. |
