Federal regulations require the state agency administering the School Nutrition Programs to evaluate a Contracting Entity’s (CE) compliance with state and federal program regulations at least once during a three-year cycle. The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Administrative Review (AR) replaces the Coordinated Review Effort (CRE) in assessing Contracting Entity (CE) compliance with the administration of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and other school nutrition programs. The AR is a three year review cycle. The second cycle began July 1, 2016.
